1. BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATE CENTER Located inside the lobby, explore three frescos by Ben Long. "Making/Building," is depicted by the construction of the Bank of America Corporate Center. "Chaos/Creativity" features figures in a daily newscast. Six nude figures are in contrast to the others "clothed" in the masks of their social roles. "Planning/Knowledge," features a young boy, representing innocence. Notice the pyramid, a traditional symbol of perfection. 100 N. Tryon Street
2. THE GREEN Among the hustle and bustle of Uptown Charlotte lies a tranquil, 1.5 acre park called The Green. Located directly across from the Charlotte Convention Center, The Green combines the best of nature and art in the most original way. Lush gardens, interactive fountains and animated artwork bring the park alive with color and imagination. 435 S. Tryon Street
3. WACHOVIA ATRIUM Perched amid the splashing water of the fountain in the Wachovia Plaza are four bronze sculptures of children. Crafted by figurative sculptor Dennis Smith, the pieces are so lifelike you expect the children to step from the water and run through the plaza. 301 S. Tryon Street
4. LATTA ARCADE Built in 1915 by Charlotte developer Edward Dilworth, the arcade is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and offices. Step through the back entrance and back through time to experience the charm of Brevard Court. 316 S. Tryon Street

16. TRANSAMERICA SQUARE View Ben Long's "Continuum" fresco located in the dome of the building's arcade - 15 feet high and 30 feet in diameter - that rests atop a three-story arched walkway. Long's first curved surface and exterior fresco represents the cycle of life's continuous disintegration and rebirth, reinforcing the notion that the more things change, the more they remain the same. 401 N. SETTLERS CEMETERY The first municipal burial ground in Charlotte, contains the earthly remains of many of the most prominent citizens of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County in the late 18th and 19th century.
