Well, it seems we've experienced some growing pains. We've enjoyed our time at Apostrophe, but it's time to get a bigger space.... so we're moving to Morehead Tavern! And better yet, we're moving from Friday night, to Saturday night too! Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 10th! Music by The Dynamic DJ Kato (Ifeanyi Ibeto) and making his debut to our Charlotte AfroPop! series, the illustrious DJ Steel Wheel! Doors open 10pm, goes until 2am; $5 before 11pm; $10 otherwise; Special discount if you're wearing african/cultural attire (i.e dashiki, kinte) before 11:30pm. African Drummer Cheick Csoko of the Soko Drum Circle Meetup Group will join us once again, as well as the West African Dance meetup.com group. Dammit, Wesley is our featured artist this month, and he's painting something special while the during the event. Eric & Veronika will be on the back patio with Kizomba Charlotte.
