Antigone and Lysistrata

NWSA Theatre presents an evening of Greek comedy and tragedy. Please join us for a traditional version of Sophocles' tragedy Antigone, followed by a very non-traditional version of Aristophanes' raunchy comedy of the sexes, Lysistrata. Antigone is the story of a young woman who defies the new king's order to leave her fallen brother unburied, with tragic results. Lysistrata devises a brilliant plan to end war when she convinces the women of Athens to deny their husbands what they most want.
