The Department of Religious Studies is hosting the Tate Lecture series on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 5:30 (refreshments at 5:00) in Rowe 130. Talk is given by Annette Yoshiko Reed, Associate Professor in the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and Program in Religious Studies at New York University. Her research focuses on angels, demons, apocalypses, and the afterlives of Second Temple Judaism in Late Antiquity and beyond. Current projects include a book on teh beginnings of Jewish demonology.
