Calling all inspired ballerinas and lovers of dance! Join us for this demonstration of ballet, the foundation of most dance forms. An emphasis will be placed on proper alignment of the body with the introduction of concepts required for correct placement of the legs, arms and head. Musicality, coordination, posture, and balance will be explored through simple enchaînements (sequence of movements) that celebrate the joy of dancing in solo and partner dances. Pre-pointe exercises required to develop strength in the legs and feet will be included to demonstrate the pre-conditioning a dancer must endure before advancing to Pointe.
