Join us on Nov 19th at BB&T Ballpark for Beer Quest…A Beer Sampling Adventure. This first-year event is presented by All About Beer Magazine, who also hosts the World Beer Festival in Raleigh, Durham and Columbia. Last summer, they hosted the North Carolina Brewer’s Celebration in the ballpark. While this isn’t their first festival or even their first in BB&T Ballpark, Beer Quest is a brand new format. The festival features a variety of beer styles, all falling into the following four sections. Hoppy and Curious: Hopheads will be right at home here, where you’ll find bright and citrusy pale ales, IPAs, double IPAs, single-hop beers and even a hoppy cider. Fresh hops, experimental hops, hops and tropical fruits -- there’s something here for everyone. The Dark Path: Don’t be scared of the dark! This section boasts stouts and porters aplenty, but don’t overlook the dark lagers, scotch ales, Belgian dubbels and dark saisons. Fizzy Yellow Greatness: Fizzy and yellow doesn’t mean flavorless -- these are consummate ballpark beers, refreshing yet complex at the same time. You’ll find a variety of approachable styles here, like pilsners, wheat beers, Kölsch and more. Not 4 n00bs: As you might expect from the name, this section contains beers that appeal to the diehard craft beer geeks (but newcomers to these styles are certainly welcome). Here you’ll find a selection of spiced beers, sour ales, barrel-aged beers and more. These are cutting-edge, innovative beers with bold flavors. Ready to set forth on the adventure?
