Charlotte, NC –Start the holiday season in an artful frame of mind with the Charlotte ART Collective’s Holiday Show and Sale on Saturday, November 18th, 10-4 at 2821 Park Road in Charlotte. Founded 17 years ago, the Charlotte ART Collective is a group of local artists who joined together to offer their work to the public by hosting a show two times a year. The CAC holds collaboration over competition and believes that our creativity explodes exponentially when we join together. As we bring our creative energy together, we inspire each other to higher levels of excellence in our work. The Charlotte ART Collective brings together well-known, local artists in an eclectic mix of mediums. We strive to represent the best that the Charlotte area has to offer in both fine art and fine craft. This year, our Holiday Show & Sale will feature milliner Kimberlee Hall and her delightful collection of handmade hats. Longtime show favorite, Renee Calder, will bring her quirky ceramic assemblage and Teresa Hollmeyer has a new collection of stained glass. We’ve expanded our artful offerings for the garden with ceramicists Elizabeth Cahill and Celena Keith-Burnett. The whimsical metal sculpture of Amy Hart will adorn the entrance to the show. Pair a handbound, leather journal with a hand-turned, wooden pen. Captivating photographs and charming prints, functional pottery and basketry abound. Also this year, the Charlotte ART Collective has expanded our jewelry artists. Member artists Linda Minor and Junie Jones will be joined by Tina Alberni and Kelly Carlson-Redding to provide pieces from classic to boho-chic. Everyone on your holiday gift list will be delighted with a gift from our show. Family friendly, free admission and ample, free parking. Supporting the good deeds of Dilworth Cares, the Charlotte ART Collective features a raffle for a “Basketful of ART” –presenting the winner with a selection of fine art and fine craft valued at over $500. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the Dilworth Cares organization to benefit this year’s designated community campaign recipient, which is Dilworth Soup Kitchen.
