The Charlotte Film Festival is a nine night event running from September 25th to October 3rd, showcasing independent film in North Carolina. The event will include screenings of films by North Carolina filmmakers, as well as others from around the world. Directors and other active members of the film community will be holding a Q+A session during the festival as well. Annually, the festival receives over 250 film submissions, which means that the films chosen represent a multitude of subjects, genres and styles. From documentaries to horror-thrillers to wartime romances and everything in between, the festival promises to have something for film-lovers of any taste. This year's festival will be at two venues: Ayrsley Grand Cinemas 14, and Carolina Cinemas at Crownpoint. The full lineup of films, and short descriptions of each, can be found at www.charlottefilmfestival.com, along with advance ticket information.
