Thursday at 6:30 p.m., CHARLOTTE/ONE hosts CLTtalks: Domestic Violence, a conversation and way to connect to organizations fighting domestic violence in Charlotte. The free event takes place at Crave Dessert Bar in Uptown Charlotte. CLTtalks: Domestic Violence attendees will receive education about domestic violence and connect with five nonprofit organizations in the city that are actively doing something to eliminate domestic violence. The nonprofits include Safe Alliance, Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage, Fashion & Compassion, Dove’s Nest and UNC Charlotte Center for Wellness Promotion. Attendees will be able to sign up for volunteer opportunities immediately. Complimentary appetizers will be provided. Tickets can be reserved at eventbrite.com. Parking is available in the rear parking deck, in preferred parking lots or on the street. A $3-$5 charge may be required for preferred parking or street parking.
