Mr. Donovan Livingston captivated millions when his 2016 Harvard School of Education address, the poetic “Lift Off,” went viral. On Dec. 1, Charlotte Will and Wake Forest University have invited Mr. Livingston to the Queen City to share his ideas on how education should inspire children to dream, lift their voices and realize their potential. Mr. Livingston will speak and then join a panel moderated by Mrs. Ann Doss Helms, education reporter for the Charlotte Observer. The panel will include Ms. Jelissa Hernandez, a North Mecklenburg High School student, and Mr. Reggie Harris, a teacher and Career Academy Coordinator at Olympic High School.
