The Gantt Center will debut four new exhibitions to the public on Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Bring the family and enjoy gallery talks, docent-led tours, art-making workshops and other activities as we celebrate the launch of The Darryl Atwell Collection of African-American Art; Selections from the John & Vivian Hewitt Collection of African-American Art; Immortal: A New Series by Miya Bailey; and Sloane Siobhan: Archetypes of the Subconscious. These exhibits of contemporary collections, figurative and abstract paintings, and mixed-media sculptures celebrate collectors of African-American art. Join us as we celebrate collectors who are preserving African-American art for future generations.
