HACKATHONclt is a community celebration centered on the technology innovation and talent of the city of Charlotte. This annual 24-hour event is 5 years in the making and was the country's first big data hackathon. To celebrate this anniversary, HACKATHONclt MMXVII will take place March 24-25 uptown at Discovery Place Science, a center shares in HACKATHONclt's mission to inspire ideas and spark interesting conversation. While the competition is 18+, starting at 5pm March 24, the museum will be open for judging and presentations Saturday March 25th for the first time in event history. Students, hackers-for-hobby, and tech professionals from all over the country are eligible to compete. The prize pool for the winners exceeds $20,000.
