The First International Sandwich Festival will be held Saturday, April 30 on the front lawn of the 250-acre campus of the Aldersgate, 3800 Shamrock Drive. The festival is open to the public and promises to be a multicultural celebration featuring food, drink, music, and more to highlight one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the Queen City. Enjoy the best bites and bands of east Charlotte, known for its authentic mix of family-run restaurants that range from Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern to downhome soul. Eat, dance, sing, and play along with entertainment featured on UNC Charlotte's Mobile Arts & Community Experience (MAX) stage. Enjoy a line-up of international music flavors; salsa, merengue, children's sing-alongs, jazz, dance performances and local talent from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Festival is free to the public. Food and Drink tickets will be available to purchase on site. Parking is Free and CATS Bus #23 takes you directly to the celebration.
