COTU presents "O'Brother", July 21st- 24th & 28th- 30th at 7:30 pm (4pm on the 24th). The showing plays at NoDa Brewery on Tryon, located at 2921 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28206. Courtney Varnum directs "O'Brother" which is set in 1937 rural Mississippi during the Great Depression. Loosely based on Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey, three escape convicts seek out a treasure and encounter many obstacles in their path- including a pretty set of sirens, a mean old sheriff and his dog, a Cyclops, politicians and someone attempting to marry one of their wives! Will get they the treasure they seek, or something better? Hashbrown Belly Boys provide the music. NoDa brewery has their full array of taps with the Tin Kitchen's “Somethin’s Brewing" providing food! All COTU ticket prices are suggested donations; this event has a suggested donation of $15. Advance tickets are available at cotu.ticketleap.com/obro for $10.
