The Charlotte TEACCH Center received an Autism Speaks Local Grant to help fund materials that educate people on ASD as well as support people with ASD in their engagement and access to activities at the Discovery Place in Charlotte NC. Download flyer here. Modified activities will be available for people with ASD as well as visual supports, schedules and social narratives for the event. Discovery Place is offering an early open for people with ASD and their families - April 2nd 8:30 - 10:00am. To purchase discounted tickets for the early open and event, click here. Visual Supports such as schedule cards, and social narratives for the event are available below. You can print out the schedule cards to make your own customized schedule with a few blank cards included for more flexibility. The social narratives are available in pdf format to print out as well as a powerpoint version that can be used on an smart phone or tablet.
