Southern State of Mind IPA Release Party – Benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina | Charlotte NC Travel & Tourism
The official travel resource
A discussion started over beers in a local Tap Room has blossomed into a collaboration that will help feed hungry families throughout the Carolinas. Southern Tier Brewing Company and Sugar Creek Brewing Company have joined forces to brew for the better, specifically, to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHFBM). SHFBM supplies food and grocery items to assist people in need across 14 counties in North Carolina and five counties in South Carolina. Both breweries will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this beer to SHFBM. Every $1.00 contributed to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina provides seven pounds of food, giving this collaboration beer the potential to help thousands of hungry families locally, but only with YOUR help! Together we CAN end hunger. Make plans to join us October 15, 2016 for the unforgettable release party at the Sugar Creek Brewery in Charlotte, NC. The Southern State of Mind IPA release party will feature: • The first two hundred 16 oz. four packs of our collaboration beer • Southern inspired live music • Community toast at 5pm • Your chance to meet the brew teams at 1 pm • A Southern Tier Brewing Company beer garden • Finger-licking southern BBQ • Bobbing for apples • Free line dancing lessons at 2 pm and 8 pm • Giveaways, kids’ games and more!
