Stella Artois is hosting “The Art of the Chalice,” an event celebrating the best of Stella Artois and the best of Charlotte’s local art, culture, and cuisine through the lens of the Stella Artois Chalice. Stella Artois commissioned local artist Osiris Rain to create a mural inspired by the city of Charlotte and the Stella Artois Chalice. His mural incorporates elements iconic to North Carolina – such as dogwood flowers and cardinals – against a gold backdrop, meant to represent both the Stella Artois lager and a sunset. Following the event, the mural will be on display for six months at the corner of N. Davidson and East 35th Street in the NoDa District. To unveil this “The Art of the Chalice” mural, Stella Artois is hosting an event at 400 E M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Charlotte, NC 2820 on Thursday, July 27 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM. Stella Artois also enlisted local artisans to help celebrate the city, including Chef Larry Schreiber, glass artists from the North Carolina Glass Center and folk-rock music band Time Sawyer. Beer expert and Master Cicerone® Max Bakker will be at the event to teach guests more about the Stella Artois Chalice and the brand’s signature Nine Step Pouring Ritual. Consumers and media 21+ are invited to join Stella Artois to celebrate the artwork reveal and spirit of Charlotte. This event is part of the Stella Artois “The Art of the Chalice” program which pays tribute to the iconic Stella Artois Chalice through local art installations across the country.
