Waltonwood Cotswold is hosting a Free Wellness Day which includes exercise classes and smoothie tastings. The public is invited to exercise with residents in a class led by Katie Cracraft, fitness coordinator at Waltonwood Cotswold. The class will start at 3 p.m. and will last approximately 30 minutes. The exercise will include low/moderate forms of resistance training with resistance bands. Very light cardio will also be incorporated with movement of the extremities during an interval style. During the second half of the class, residents and guests will have a chance to turn the table around and teach Katie an exercise or two. Smoothies are a delicious way to include fruits and vegetables in a diet, and the community’s chef will present smoothie demo and tastings at 3:30 p.m. The nursing team will be available to provide wellness clinics, including blood pressure checks.
