Heist Brewery’s Pecan Wood Smoked Manhattan

With only six ingredients, you can be your own bartender.

  • 2 ounces Elijah Craig bourbon
  • 1 1/2 ounces vermouth
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 maraschino cherry
  • 1 ounce pecan woodchips
  • Lighter or matches



  • Place woodchips on fire safe platform.
  • Ignite woodchips until flame appears.
  • Cover burning woodchips with cocktail glass until fire is out and smoke begins to fill glass.
  • Add rye whiskey, vermouth and Angostura bitters to a shaker filled with ice.
  • Shake well.
  • Remove smoked filled glass from woodchips.
  • Strain and pour shaker contents into smoked glass.
  • Garnish with maraschino cherry.
