As the holidays approach, find your festive spirit in a Queen City neighborhood trimmed with seasonal cheer. South Park boasts luxury retail, bustling streets and delicious eats. While the area is synonymous with its high-end, eponymous shopping mall, it’s also packed with plenty of other playful offerings.

Start the day peacefully at a Laughing Buddha Yoga Studio morning class. If you’re a novice or are not looking to break the bank, check out the $9 karma classes. After you work up an appetite, stroll over to Another Broken Egg Café and order one of the scrumptious signature egg benedicts; you’ll have earned it.

Next, prepare to check everyone off this year’s gift list. Whether you’re looking for prime retailers at the mall or intimate local boutiques, South Park is Charlotte’s holiday shopping destination. Searching for high-quality home goods? Visit Bedside Manor located at Specialty Shops SouthPark. Trying to find something for the athlete in your life? Peruse Jessie Brown’s Outdoors for all things adventurous. For unique finds, visit Swoozie’s or Paper Source for eclectic accoutrements or Dean & DeLuca for delectable goodies.

Spend your evening at Phillips Place, whose cosmopolitan perimeter is decked with lights and holiday decor. Love to cook or need a culinary boot camp? Sign up at Salud! Cooking School at Whole Foods Market to learn how to whip up an impressive dish for the in-laws. Or hang up your apron and enjoy a gourmet seafood dinner at Upstream. Then catch a flick at Regal Phillips Place Stadium 10. Cap off the night toasting cocktails at Village Tavern, a popular haunt for South Park locals.

MORNING

If you’re looking for a brunch for the books, go early and grab a seat at Terrace Café in Piedmont Town Center. The creatively filled quiches change daily, and the house specialty is a savory croque-madame.

AFTERNOON

Satisfy your sweet tooth with a mid-afternoon sugar fix at GiGi’s Cupcakes. Celebrate the flavor of fall with a limited-edition butterscotch cheesecake cupcake.

EVENING

Put on your boogie shoes and prepare for holiday soirees with a dance lesson at Queen City Ballroom. The studio offers private and group lessons and a program for brides and grooms-to-be.

LATE NIGHT

Grab some late night eats and watch the game at Taco Mac. The Tex-Mex menu includes delicious bar bites, like burgers and fajitas, a huge array of TVs, and 140 beers on tap, plus 200 bottled.
