Be A Fan For The Day

Whether your favorite sport features a hoop, a diamond or something in between, Charlotte offers plenty of ways to root for the home teams. Show your pride as you cheer on one of the Queen City’s famed franchises.
Thereâs nothing quite like the adrenaline that pumps through Bank of America Stadium on game day. Be a part of the teamâs âKeep Poundingâ movement as you cheer on powerhouse quarterback Cam Newton and the NFLâs Carolina Panthers on their home turf.

Get in on gridiron glory.

Have a ball with the hornets.

Charlotte Hornets games are perfect for both the die-hard enthusiast and the casual basketball fan. Even if you don’t know the point guard from the shooting guard or the center forward, you’ll still enjoy an NBA matchup. Halftime shows are full or ball-dribbling and dunking fun, and the in-house team store is packed with Hornets-branded merchandise.

Put the pedal to the metal.

You haven’t fully experienced life in Charlotte until you’ve witnessed a race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Speedway hosts events throughout the year, and three major NASCAR races are held at the track in May and October. Bring your cooler and some earplugs and prepare for a rush.

Three to see:

  1. Got aspiring soccer players in your house? They’ll love watching the United Soccer League’s local team, the Charlotte Independence, show off their fancy footwork at Ramblewood Soccer Complex.
  2. With sweeping views of Uptown, tasty local food and craft beer offerings, BB&T Ballpark, named the best Minor League Baseball park by Baseball America in 2015, is the perfect place to watch the Charlotte Knights round the bases.
  3. Pile into American Legion Memorial Stadium to watch the professionals on the Charlotte Hounds Major League Lacrosse team make high-speed passing and cradling look effortless.
