Who needs the Tour de France when you’ve got Tour De Food? From food connoisseurs to foodie newbies, Tour De Food takes participants on a sensory journey through Charlotte. Tour goers have the option to take an edible exploration through Center City, the NoDa Arts District, Davidson or Midtown. From fine dining to hidden dives, each stop offers different tastes and unique stories from local independently owned establishments.

Participants discover the origins of the dish and the food-making process while learning the history of the area as well as the architectural influences of the buildings. Great for groups of varying sizes, Tour De Food offers private tours, tapas crawls and teambuilding activities tailored to each group’s needs.

Tour De Food Uptown

Uptown Charlotte features a dynamic food scene with cuisine ranging from farm fresh to upscale chic. On this tour, participants will wind through the busy city streets making stops at places like Pure Pizza at 7th Street Public Market and Rooster’s Wood-Fired Grill while sampling farm-to-table food, perfectly paired wines, tasty pastries and more. They will meet culinary artisans and learn their personal stories, the history of the area and the architectural influences of the buildings in the city.

Tour De Food NoDa

As participants wind their way through NoDa, a colorful arts district two miles north of Uptown Charlotte, they will learn the history of the area as they taste creative dishes from local culinary artisans. While sampling dishes at more than six different locations, participants will learn about a local brewery, exotic coffees, fine wines, decadent pastries, Louisiana-influenced gumbo and other delectable dishes.

Tour De Food Metropolitan – Around the World Tour

The Metropolitan, a contemporary shopping and dining center in Midtown, is home to many locally owned culinary treasures in one location. Featuring Asian, Indian, Italian, Mexican and American epicurean delights, this Tour De Food tour will take participants behind the scenes and around the world during an afternoon stroll.

Minimum/Maximum Number of Participants: 4 – 40

Availability: Tours run the second Saturday of every month. Private tours are available upon request.

Cost: $45 per person

Tour De Food Davidson

Located 20 miles north of Charlotte, Davidson is a quaint college town full of history and rich in flavor. During the tour, participants will wind through downtown Davidson along Main Street sampling some of the finest culinary delights, beer and wine at more than six locally owned restaurants from upscale dining to the soda shop. Beginning at The Brick House Tavern, formerly the Old Cotton Mill, the tour will include historical anecdotes of the area as well as personal meetings with the restaurant owners and chefs.
