Playhouses, forts, and treehouses evoke memories of escaping outdoors to explore, dream, and play. As children we spend hours inventing and creating worlds of our own imagination in the fresh air. As adults we find the same pleasures in tiny houses, scaled-up treehouses, and unique spaces that connect us with nature and return us to a world of imagination and adventure. Small play structures of all kinds, called Wee Houses for this exhibition, have always been important places for play. Beginning April 30, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden will present Wee Houses: Places We Play, an interactive exhibition by local creatives to celebrate the places we play.
