Established in 1958 as a community foundation, Foundation For The Carolinas is a nonprofit corporation created by and for the people of the Carolinas. The Foundation for the Carolinas helps individuals, families, nonprofits and corporations make a positive impact on their communities.
Through the Robinson Center for Civic Leadership, the Foundation convenes the community around issues of importance and launches important work of benefit to all. The Carolina Thread Trail, Crossroads Charlotte, and Project LIFT are just a few of the initiatives undertaken by the Robinson Center.
Foundation For The Carolinas officially opened the Luski-Gorelick Center for Philanthropy in 2011. The first floor serves as the home of the Sonia and Isaac Luski Gallery, an extensive art collection. Event spaces include the gallery, seventeen conference rooms, a classroom, and two rooftop terraces. The Foundation is pleased to offer space for meetings, fundraisers, weddings, corporate and private parties.
