Duckworth's Grill & Taphouse
Good size. Probably seats about 100 comfortably. A bit loud, but not for a sports bar. One nice amenity: there is a section which is significantly quieter for those that just wish to eat. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I found the food to be excellent and well priced for the neighborhood. Open 'til at least midnight seven days a week, another plus for me. I like it and will definitely return.
Unfortunately our experience at this Duckworth's location was awful. Upon entry the air was thick and hot in the restaurant. It felt as though the AC was not running. In addition to the muggy conditions there were several fruit flies in the restaurant and around our table as we tried to eat. Shortly before leaving our table was visited by a giant palmetto bug on the booth seat. One of the patrons at our table jumped up and killed the bug. An employee came over to remove the dead bug with a napkin she plucked from our table and suggested we all "pretend like that never happened". The manager did not visit the table to address the issue. Our server was great and tried to smooth things over, but the experience left us extremely uncomfortable. Wildly inappropriate behavior on behalf of the management and circumstances which truly ruined a dining experience.
vacationing in the area and stopped in for an early dinner. great service. excellent food. quick on the beverage refills. put the world cup on for us. definitely worth the visit if you are a beer lover too.
Mike, our server, was great!! Hire more people like him. Friendly and knowledgeable. The food was awesome too. Burger & Beers were great. Thank you for a memorable experience. We will be back. :)
New management and new interior being this place from a 4 to a 5 in my book. The beer selection is great, and they have some good weekday specials. They skimmed down the food options which seems provide more quality than quantity. Just please bring back the teri-hot wings!!!
