A very nice venue. The private party room is a good size, big enough for two separate parties at once. I would suggest something to separate the two parties that happen to share the space at the same time. Guests from one side tend to float to the other side for games and take food from the shared venue on their way back to their side of the room. Not for that, the rating would be stronger.
Such a cute place with many many options! And very clean! The drink selection was good and the black bartender with the curly hair was the sweetest! I just hate that the night I went they closed at 11pm. Definitely coming back though!
So today my friend and I went to this restaurant and were treated horrible. When we arrived we found two chairs at the bar and sat down. The place was not packed at all, yet we were COMPLETELY ignored by the bartender and two gentleman cleaning glasses. It felt almost intentional. Not wanting to be antsy or come off as aggressive, we waited for several minutes as the bartender came and went, doing what appeared to be her absolute best to ignore us. Then, a couple came up to the bar and as soon as she noticed them she went right over and acknowledged them. Now I'm only stating this part because this is what it felt like: My friend and I are African American women and the couple appeared to be Caucasian. Again I am not 100% sure this is why we were ignored when we initially sat down and they were greeted almost instantly upon coming to the bar, but it felt bad. So after waiting several minutes finally my friend says, "Can someone please help us? We've been waiting". So both of the guys cleaning the glasses looks up. One guy said something so ridiculous! He goes, "I saw you guys having a conversation and didn't want to interrupt". Since when does a server or bartender not come check in with you when you arrive at an establishment they're working at? So we basically brushed him off because the comment was so ridiculous and then the other gentleman cleaning (who was possibly a manager) asked us what we wanted to drink and placed our order then eventually came back and placed our food order. No apology for being ignored, no acknowledgement of the behavior from the young lady behind the bar, who by the way continued to ignore us our entire visit. I'm just trying to understand what we did to deserve the treatment we received. Did they assume we weren't going to tip our something? It was madness. Never returning to this establishment again and I will be sure to let everyone I speak to know to do the same. The food is also not that great.
Went for Brunch to celebrate a friend's Birthday.... Atmosphere was chilled and laid back. Definitely enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Food was super tasty and the drinks were delicious. A great spot for any occasion.
Not one for reviews being in the service industry for so long but, had to say something about their brunch and quality mimosa special on Sundays, food was unique and great! also most places do some sort of cheap mimosa specials for brunch but I really appreciate the quailty of Champaign they use for theirs. Very happy to find this place, will be my regular and suggested brunch spot from now on!
