Lumiere French Kitchen
Wonderful restaurant with amazing chef and service. Management from top down is absolutely outstanding. We just had a 5 course chef tasting that blew us away. The wine pairings were absolutely delicious. Such a fabulous experience and food.
4 stars for the food, 2 stars for the inside and ambiance of the restaurant. Excellent food and great service however the inside of the restaurant is disappointing. Beautiful and delicious food celebrated in a poor decor, demure room. No ambiance, no romance, nothing special. What a shame. Dressing up is a little bit of a waste of time. Also, the age demographic is around 60 years old, as we looked around we were the only couple under 65 years old.
It claims to be a upscale French restaurant, and its prices confirm that. But, what a disappointment! We were there the night before mother's day to pre-celebrate. We ordered some well known, traditional French dishes. The lobster bisque was so salty that had to be returned. The escargots were dry and tasteless, and not even served in their shells. The orange roast duck, one of the most well known French dish, was a total disaster. It's tough, stringy, flavorless. The worst part of all is, they don't care to serve their food hot. The soup, the snail, the duck, all came to the table less than luke warm on cold plates. This is unacceptable! We'll never go back to this restaurant again. It's a disgrace for French cooking. Julia Child is going to turn in her grave.
This is one of Charlotte's hidden jewels. The food is always fabulous, the wait staff is attentive yet not hovering, and the wine selections are amazing. The prices are a little higher than some fine dining restaurants but what I deem justified for the overall experience.
Very nice date night place. Food was perfect. Portions are small.
