Rush Espresso Café & Wine Bar
We went to Rush Restaurant again Saturday as it had been so good the last couple of times we were there. The salmon was delicious as usual, the cook is great, the staff was incredible plus we had the opportunity to meet the owner Paul, his wife Jenny, daughter and son. They were all so sociable. It is a great restaurant to eat as it very cozy and friendly. We will certainly go back to see them & eat dinner there often. Thanks again for having such a great restaurant like this. Rita & Jules
Rush is one of my favorite places in Charlotte. This is not just your average coffee joint with a few pastries to eat or reheated frozen food like the big coffee chains. Instead, not only will you find excellent coffee, but youll also get some outstanding breakfast and lunch options that have the presentation and taste of a high-end restaurant. If you go for breakfast, you have to try the eggs Benedict. Heres a pic of this tasty dish.
Bigger food menu than most coffee shops: actual filling food. No lox and bagel tho :( I ordered a "for here" 12 oz mocha and it came in a glass, not a mug; and it sure looked like an 8 or 10 oz glass, not 12. But it was well made, food good enough. Plenty of room inside, lots of tables/chairs. One can watch Ballantyne better-off businessmen and -women, be-collared and be-skirted, pleasantly being better off than regular Charlotte folk, and then u can go next door for a beer.
The onwer of the place is rude n disrespectful, he asked us to buy something because he pays $10,000 of rent,( the information wasnt required) not knowing we were waiting for our friends to join for coffee and food. My friends and i felt disrespected .Such a Disappointment coming from an owner such words. I used to love that place but since that day i never went back. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Nice and relaxing environment and good food. Prices were compared expensive for NC. We are from NJ and it wasnt any cheaper than here if not expensive. Otherwise, it was good food.
