Very Clean Very polite. Greeted like a king. Food is fabulous. Better then Taco Bell. Nick was very kind to all. And the owner was very cheerful. I would drive 60 miles to come back here. The atmosphere is top of the line.
Bright colored fun eclectic dining room and lots of covered outdoor seating. Love the philosophy of the place where if you buy a meal they provide a meal to a child somewhere in the world. The menu is basic tacos with some salads and a rice bowl and you stand in line to order and then take a number go sit at the table. The line seem long but went very quickly. The place is packed and lots of families with kids which makes it pretty loud. Definitely not fast food.- Took 20 minutes to get food. But the food looks delicious and taste as good
Gave four stars because I loved the atmosphere and host Katie was super sweet and friendly. One guy in a grey shirt did say hi and told me I could leave plates on table. I ordered Korean BBQ taco and it was amazing loved every single bit. My friend friend taco completely different story. The chicken tender or whatever it was was slimy inside and tasted spoiled, then I had about half of a whole lettuce on my taco and close to little sauce. Might need to check cold storage refrigerator where raw food is keep and monitor food in prep area for correct temp. But overall great place.
Some of the tacos were good, though a bit overpriced (~$4 per taco, sides not included). They do donate a portion of their profits to charity though. One of them was cold, and may have sat around a bit. The delay in receiving our order seems to support this. Overall the food was creative, but not very good. The queso was soupy, and bad- more like beer cheese soup than anything. 7-11 nacho cheese would have been an improvement. When I mentioned our impression to an employee, she just shrugged it off. The experience was degraded by the crowded and noisy atmosphere. Other than the fact that they're new, and not widely known in the area, I see no reason why they're this popular.
We love this place and absolutely love their concept. They provide a meal for a hungry child for every meal that is purchased. We try to go once a week, this is a concept we love to get behind. The tacos are awesome, I am a high fan of the tofu and eggplant. They also have Cheerwine!!
