Came for brunch but stayed for the mimosa flight!! The cranberry mimosa was my favorite! Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the funnel cake, chicken and waffles, and the coconut curry mussels. Didnt really care for the steak and eggs. Ill pass on that because the eggs didnt really taste authentic. Other than that, everything was pleasant. Our server, Nova, was a sweet heart too!
This restaurant is amazing. It is hands down the best restaurant in South End. The food is quality and the drinks are stiff. The prices are perfect. I have eaten at Link and Pin, the food was bland and the drinks were so weak and overpriced we wish we just went back here. The staff is always so nice here. The octopus and lobster is perfectly cooked. The sauce options are decadent. I am not a brunch person but I am certain theres is amazing. You need to eat here.
Top to bottom wonderful experience. We were celebrating a birthday, & made a bit of a snafu (on our, the customers end) and booked two separate tables instead of one large one, the hostess was able to make it work and seat us all together on a Saturday night! Our server, Nova, was prompt, pleasant & knowledgeable. I would honestly come back just to have her service again. But on top of that the cocktails, (I drank the pardon my French) and food were great. We all got the prix fixe options & everyone enjoyed their steaks, we all tried the different sauces. I got the cognac sauce & it was smooth & flavorful, perfect compliment to my perfectly cooked mid rare steak. My father got the chicken & raved about it all night, both the flavors & the portion size. Service was prompt, but laid back & not pushy. Outside of the prix fixe menu they have a ton of interesting items with seasonal ingredients, so I will absolutely have to come back for a date night & try some of the pastas. Gratuity was included, which Ive kinda come to expect in a post Covid dining world, but they dont note it anywhere on the menu & they should. While I (late 20 something, restaurant industry vet) dont mind, and still tipped additionally, this should be stated clearly, because older people often feel insulted/hoodwinked by it. All in all I wish the Dunavant the best & will be back.
Dont normally leave reviews anywhere but had to this time. Truly one of the worst meals I have had from start to finish, chose a soup for my starter which just tasted like potatoes and didnt have any other flavors beyond that. The steak I got came with a Chimichurri, which was served on the side thankfully as it was swimming in oil and vinegar, the steak had 0 seasoning on it, the fries were barely fried, Luke warm, and way over seasoned. The only thing we kind of enjoyed were the pretzel bites even though some were kinda tough to chew. Im a server myself at a restaurant and didnt want to complain because the server didnt mess up orders or anything, but we barely touched both steaks and fries.
Great experience here from start to finish. I made reservations for my Mom's birthday dinner and they provided great service from booking the reservations, accommodating a last minute guest, and being very attentive to our large party. Throughout the night our server gave us top notch service. She was very attentive, as we're the other servers at other tables. This was a busy Friday night, but my whole party was well taken care of. The food and drink options were great. The pretzel bite appetizers and the crab meat tower were great starters. Would definitely recommend.
