Great deviled eggs! I ordered the chicken + cornbread waffles and it was okay. I prefer my cornbread to be more like johnny cake than cornbread. Mimosas were delicious!
We were drawn to The Manchester by their delicious sounding menu and the appearance of an upbeat atmosphere. However, we were unfortunately unable to experience either. We arrive just before 2:00pm and were promptly greeted by a smiling face and seated on the patio (per our request). The kind lady that seated us then immediately informed us she would be our server and took our drink order (one Bloody Mary). This is where the good stopped. We ended up waiting 20min before we even saw our server again. She was bussing tables, looked our direction, but didnt seem bothered by us not having our drink. We decided to wait until 27 minutes had passed since we ordered before we gave up and went somewhere else (hoping that wouldnt happen as the lobster roll sounded delicious). Unfortunately we reached that mark... I then walked inside to inform someone that we were leaving. The bar had my Bloody Mary ready and sitting there. Behind the bar was what appeared to be the bartender and manager with their hands in their pockets and to involved in their own conversations to be bothered by taking care of their customers. I stated that we had decided to leave and wouldnt be needing that Bloody Mary, neither said a word nor seemed at all bothered by the situation. Customer service is something that takes very little effort to be decent at and simply a caring human being to be great at.
Omg loved this place. Our waitress was the bomb. I forgot her name. But the food was real food that risotto omg. Rhe lobster in it was so fresh. Ammmmmazing. The ambiance is nice. I like it cause you can eat outside too. I will definitely be back.
Family and I ordered many items on the menu and shared thoughts. First impressions; for anyone who ever burned something in the kitchen my thoughts are this menu is 100% ambitious; impressive if it works and impossible if it doesn't. We ordered a little bit of everything to taste their menu. Upside: fish and chips. good choice of fish to tempura fry. Now the downside: Lobster roll was interesting...double Texas toast seemed to be overpowering the lobster flavor of the dish. Swarma(gyro)needed heirloom tomato and tzatziki sauce needed cucumber unless their recipe doesn't call for. Finally the biggest disappointment was the lobster mac and cheese with braided noodles and what tasted like powdered cheese and a few lobster pieces thrown in for measure instead of in every bite. This place has tremendous potential to destroy all of their competition and make some serious bank if only they had an expeditor to taste the food and critique it before it left the kitchen. Redo lobster mac. Tremendous potential. Needs leadership. We are willing to try again. Cross fingers.
Was traveling from SC and this place caught my eye to stop and have lunch. Service was amazing from the second we walked in the door. Great selection of beers on tap. Food was phenomenal, packed with flavor and prices right for the size . Social distancing guidelines were followed and we cant wait to return!
