Charlotte Ballet will be presenting choreographer Peter Chu and his company chuthis. at the Center for Dance May 24 & 25. chuthis. will be performing two works, Smile Masking and paper cuts in an empty bag. Along with the performance, Peter Chu and his company will also offer a master class for dance students at the Center for Dance. This intermediate/advanced Contemporary Master Class is for dancers ages 12 – 18 and takes place Saturday, May 25 from 1:30 – 3 PM at the Center for Dance. Dancers should be prepared to move! Preferred footwear is socks or ballet slippers. To sign up for the master class you must first purchase a ticket to either the Friday or Saturday performances. The performance is $20 general admission and the master class is $20 per person. chuthis. promotes cutting-edge contemporary dance that pushes the physical boundaries of movement with sharp expanding, contracting, and undulating liquid-like energy, enmeshed in striking imagery to provoke thought. |
