On June 15 & 16, Jazz Arts Initiative’s monthly series—The Jazz Room @ The Stage Door Theater–presents internationally acclaimed trumpeter Kenny Rampton playing the music of jazz’s legendary trumpeters such as Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and others. Mr. Rampton is currently a member of Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. The Stage Door Theater is part of Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, at the corner of 5th & College in Uptown Charlotte. Performances: June 15 – 6pm & 8:15pm; June 16 – 7pm & 9:15pm.
