Satarah Productions is excited to announce that the performance arts collective is bringing its’ annual cultural festival Bloom back for its sixth year! Performance artists from across the United States and Canada have been invited and will once again come together to share their art and passion. As in the past, Bloom will feature dancers, aerialists, sideshow acts, fire artists, contortionists, burlesque performers, and more! Performances are to be held on July 27th and 28th at Charlotte’s newest arts and music venue, The Amphitheater at Station House, located at 4100 Raleigh St. Charlotte, NC 28213. There will be three performances during this year’s festival; one adults only performance at 8pm on Friday July 27th and two performances on Saturday July 28th, a family friendly performance at 5 pm and at 8pm another adults only performance. General admission tickets for both of the adult performances on Friday and Saturday are $20, with VIP tickets available for $55. Tickets for the family friendly performance on Saturday are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 18.
Bloom is also expanding its’ scope this year by encompassing not only three standalone shows, but also adding an educational component including workshops specializing in movement arts such as contortion, modern dance, and belly dance but also including theatre, improv and acting. All workshops will be conducted by qualified North Carolina artists and experienced international performers. This year will mark the third consecutive year that the Master of Ceremonies of the festival will be is Carmel Clavin of Spectacle and Mirth, the Director of the Shenandoah Fringe Festival.
Bloom is also excited to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Behailu Academy in NoDa, which specializes in creating an artistically inspirational environment for school aged children in Charlotte.
