The hotel is incredible. The room was very unique with a modern city life design. The location is really amazing but downtown site is not the easiest to get to if you are not local. The only thing I did not like was the $20 charge for parking, I could have missed something but the girl at the front desk told me she could not validate the parking. Aside from parking it is a very nice hotel with a lot to do around it.

I love the way Ms. Kalilah let me check in my room. She explained to me how to work my key for the elevator and the room. I so LOVED the rooms EXCEPT.....there's no place to put your clothes....Except on this cot under the tv. I got up to go eat breakfast!! NOT SO.....You gotta pay for EVERYTHING!!! But thank you for this EXPERIENCE!!!! Also, I've been asking about the pool since I checked in...the reply....It's being repaired!!! Just seen some reviews...where the pool has been down for almost a MONTH!!! WOW

Although this is a pet friendly hotel, there is absolutely no place to walk your dog other than the sidewalk. There is a small grassy area down the road, but I was informed that I might not want to take my dog down there because there are probably some needles on the ground that would be hard to see in the dark. The entrance to Aloft is not marked. After calling the front desk no less than 5 times (nobody ever answered the phone), I ended up pulling into the AC hotel and one of their employees directed me to the elevator that would take me to Aloft. After checking in, we went to our room. Clearly, some less than well mannered pups had stayed there. There was a smell of urine and my dog immediately thought this was a place to mark his territory. I come well prepared and disinfected all lower areas. (You're welcome) We were just passing through and only needed to stay for a quick rest, so I didn't make a fuss. I am chalking this on up to poor researching on my part and a general lack of knowledge of the area. On a positive note, the receptionist that checked us is was very pleasant. I was, also, very relieved to see so much security/police presence monitoring the area and the parking deck. But, I won't be back.

Our stay at Aloft was exactly what we were looking for. The room was spacious enough with beautiful views. The best part of our stay though was May at the front desk, she's so nice! Our favorite part of a new city is the food and she gave us so many great recommendations. She really went above and beyond to make our trip great. Thank you!

This is a fantastic location with great views. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is friendly and available, but the rooms are a bit dingy. The window shades in our room were broken, the bathroom door didnt slide closed, and the sink was coming off the hinges. It really needs some TLC, but overall a good stay and would go again for the price and location. Note: its really noisy in this spot. There are Street sounds all night and the wi does arent very thick.

I have been displaced from my home since July 8th while repairs and renovations are being made to my townhouse. I have been staying in Airbnbs with my two dogs. Had this one night that I couldn't find a rental for under $225 so I booked a room. While checking in, I dropped my purse and apparently a check fell out. This was a $4,000 check from my insurance company that was a second payment to the furniture packing company. Yes, I had already endorsed it...Thankfully, Lloyd the Engineer found it and brought it to my room! I had already met Lloyd when my remote didn't work and he came to replace it. Very nice gentleman who went the extra step to return a check I didn't know I had lost! Thank You!!

Not a covid friendly hotel at this time. They have no mobile key service or true mobile check in like most of the Marriott brand. You still have to stand at the front desk in a group with everyone else that may or may not be masked instead of going straight to your room. I'll update this review when they update their safety and technology.

Kyle and his crew really know how to make you feel at home. Meeting and learning from those who contributed to making this hotel so great was an honor. Another great thing was being asked what I enjoyed most, and if there was anything they could do better. This question came from higher level management, which made it that more meaningful to me. It was a good feeling to be one of the first guests to stay there and absolutely great to be the 1st bar patron to taste the wonderful drinks. I recommend the Boombox!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the hotel a few days after it had opened and everything about our stay, somewhat surprisingly, was extra-ordinary and superb! The design of the hotel is very modern and beautiful, reminding us of top-notch Scandinavian design where attention is paid to every aspect of form and function, giving one the feeling that one is staying at an expensive but intimate resort. The room was large and uncluttered and the bathroom (separate toilet, large shower and outside sinks) felt like a suite into itself. Needless to say, the toiletries and other amenities were top-class. All the employees that we interacted with - Pamela, Julius, Anitra - were ultra-helpful and friendly. Julius serves a breakfast that rivals gourmet cafes in taste and presentation. Ditto about the amply stocked bar where the bar-tender treats you like a friend, surprising you with tasty cocktails. And the best part was the personal attention paid by the owner of the hotel, Anuj Mittal, to ensure that we were comfortable and happy. We had such a good time that, even though we live far up North, we will go back to Charlotte simply to have the pleasure of staying in the hotel again!
