First off the remodel looks amazing. However, the entire reason for my five star review is due to two individuals working at the Bistro. Kamesha and Michael made our stay a much much more pleasant experience and I just want to personally say thank you. A company is only as good as its staff and they deserve the credit. The food was good the rooms were nice. Overall just very impressed for the price.
We decided to stay at this hotel because it is close to the airport. The hotel is nice on the inside and seems to be well taken care of. The hotel staff was very nice and did a good job of taking care of a few problems we had. After checking into our room, we later noticed some glass on the carpet. Apparently a glass had been broken and was not cleaned up. Makes us wonder if the room was even vacuumed. They sent a very nice lady down to clean and vacuum the room. She apologized and made sure the room was clean before she left. I was told I would get a few Marriott points for our trouble. The courtyard part of the hotel was pretty plain compared to other Courtyard Properties. A few chairs and a fire pit with cigarette butts in it. The hotel was okay for a one night stay so we could catch the Free Shuttle to the airport the next morning.
They need to ensure that the rooms have clean items. Such as no moldy shower curtains and bed spreads without any stains on them.Those items should be thrown away and replaced with newer ones. I also think they should consider updating the mattresses as well. Other than that fact, our stay was good.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!! First they had to give us room keys three different times because they wouldn't work, then was told "sorry they must of gave your room away" and they put us in a different room. Got into the new room which smelled like mildew. Then the new room didn't have a shower curtain. Had to call the front desk three times and after an hour with no shower curtain or towels had to walk downstairs and get it myself. I was once again told " sorry, but i am the only staff member here right now so i couldn't leave the front desk". But then what really took me over the top as one of the worst experiences ever, was they gave someone else the key to our room and in the middle of the night had strangers walk into our room while my family slept !!! When i told the front desk their response was " oh i am sorry that happened". That was it, a very insincere apology. I had young children in the room, who knows what could have occurred that you allowed strangers to obtain a key to our room. I have a reservation set for august for the Courtyard Marriott City Center in August that i paid $400 a night for which i will be immediately be canceling due to the customer service and horrible experience that occurred yesterday.
Used the airport parking service. The prices were reasonable and the trip to the airport was short. When contacted from the airport, the wait time for pick up was reasonable. My driver, Kenneth, was friendly and transported me to and from the airport safely. I will most definitely use this service again.
