Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlotte Ballantyne
Tim Wood Sr
I traveled to the area from Toledo, OH after finding out my dad has cancer and needed to stay someplace close to his home. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and managed. The staff, exceptionally nice. I had to extend my stay a couple of times because my dad surpassed the length of time they gave him to live and the staff quickly accommodated me while offering their condolences. Other than visiting under these circumstances, it was a beautiful experience. Thank you.
We asked for a handicap accessible room. The bathroom was good however when it came time to get into bed my 5'2" wheelchair moving mom could not get into the bed...it was too high! We ended up removing the sheets etc from the bed and she slept on the couch in the room. The beds in handicap rooms NEED to be lower, please!
Very nice hotel! Extremely clean, staff was super nice, and the room was very spacious. And at a great rate! Would definitely recommend.
My only complaint was that the beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to leave. I tried really hard to find a flaw and wasn't able to. So clean, beautiful, comfortable, great pool, good breakfast, nice nature surroundings, good service, etc...
I have stayed at this hotel few times before. My son lives in Ballantyne and I am from NJ. The check in was so nonhospitabl. She was rude, told us we had to fill out a card for breakfast. No maid service. No fresh towels. Dead bug in hall for two days. called for towels never came. No one at check out desk on departure. Will never stay here again. The room is hot or cold all night. Horrible
