It was exactly what we needed for what turned into a 2 night stay. There were some minor maintenance issues (normal wear and tear) both in the room and the facility as a whole although I understood I was getting what I paid for before we showed up. The staff was exceptional however and were able to accommodate us when our one night trip turned into two nights unexpectedly. We didn't have time to try the pool unfortunately. All in all it beet our expectations for what we paid and I would recommend it.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks straight, moved from Ohio to Charlotte to explore something new. From the moment I checked in the hotel I was greeted by Ms Monica and handle with care. Ms Monica has to be the sweetest woman I have ever met in my life. I truly appreciate how comfortable she made me feel. If I was having a bad day I would go to the front desk to ask for towels jus so I can speak to this kind spirit. If you stay at this hotel please ask for Ms Monica she will bless your heart beyond measures. Room was clean and my stay was great. Housekeeping truly cleans the rooms and halls like it their home. I truly recommend this hotel to anyone that want to feel safe and appreciated

I wanted somewhere relatively inexpensive to stay for a quick weekend in Charlotte. The first room I received (Room #210) had a broken refrigerator door and I brought all my meals for the weekend to avoid extra costs so the refrigerator was a must. The second room I received was Room #218 where the refrigerator in that room was just as warm as the interior of the room even though it was turned to the coldest setting. Finally the THIRD ROOM I moved into was great for the night until I realized the next day that the microwave was completely broken and non-functioning. I understand that this was a "cheap" hotel but simple things like this should not be hard to fix. In addition, the entire floor smelled like cigarette smoke and the guests with animals would not quiet their animals. I will NOT be staying here ever again on my monthly trips to Charlotte. I will say, the hotel staff was quick to move me to another room. Wayne, at the front desk, was great throughout the whole process and the lady at the desk the next afternoon was willing to heat my food for me since my microwave was busted. She offered to give me another room but I'm just sick of moving rooms. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. Spend the extra $10-$20 for a better hotel.

It could be a nice hotel if it was cleaned better. The carpets needed to (at minimum) be vacuumed and cleaned. Bathroom floors need a good scrubbing. The bed was comfortable. It's a non-smoking hotel but it smelt like pot. The front desk lady was awesome.

I would give them zero stars on customer service and zero stars on available and amenities that was told to me was available when I made this booking. But I am fair and I will give them five stars on the room the bedding and the bathrooms being clean and as expected for la Quinta's brand name. But due to the issues that we had at check-in and they flippant attitude that they had towards my frustrations I will never stay at the Charlotte la Quinta again unless I have in writing and manager stating what the amenities are and will be when I check in. I have stayed at a lot of la quintas and I love their brand I find them to be clean accommodating and I love their amenities but this fell short of my expectations as well as what was advertised would be available with no courtesy or concern of responding to advise those amenities were not available and they had 3 weeks to do so when I made a special request it was not like this was a last minute booking where they couldn't tell us that the amenities wasn't available they had three weeks to respond and they chose not to. But again I'm Fair the building was clean the parking lot was clean the rooms were clean the bedding was clean and the room was of good size. But I would still give them a zero on customer service or even making the option of trying to accommodate the oversights of our booking!
