We had fabulous experience at the cocktailery for a private cocktail class for my amazing Girlfriend and sister's birthday! The wonderful cocktail curator Yashira A.K.A. Super Yosh was phenomenal and her brother Yani was so helpful. She was funny, educational and sassy. We had a great time learning new recipes that we can incorporate in our mixology line up at home and for the holidays! Great atmosphere, vive and wonderful products. Can't wait to go back for another class and to do some shopping:) Our girl had a fabulous time and we had a blast. Thank you for the great experience! TeamJames will be back:)

Went to the holiday cocktail class and it was so much fun! All 3 drinks were tasty and enjoyed learning about the bar tools. Look forward to taking more classes.

The Cocktailery is the place to be. As soon as you walk in...just a vibe! We were there a few weeks ago for a team building cocktail class and it was amazing. Literally, all you do is show up. The set up was everything and Tamu really provides thorough education on the cocktails we are making. She even provides the recipes so you can try at home. Since I didn't have what I needed, I was able to grab a few cocktail essentials while I was there. All in all....10/10 experience!

I received a mixology class at this business as a gift from my family for Fathers Day. We were finally able to coordinate schedules and a group of 7 was scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2022. We all were looking forward to the private class and an evening out with friends. Due to inclement weather concerns, Tamu, the owner, confirmed our group was still interested in coming the next evening. We confirmed we were interested and asked Tamu if she was also willing to continue with the class. She confirmed yes. We arrived early and were greeted by our instructor, Oshi. During her introduction, she shared she was a transplant to the area 10 years ago but was ready to get out of Charlotte. This comment seemed inappropriate for the event and didn't instill confidence that she was interested in being there with us. We began making our cocktails which were overall very good. As we began mixing our first drink, the steps differed a bit from the initial instruction resulting in one of our group members asking why that was the case. Oshi was abrupt and quick with her response which was surprisingly unprofessional. As class progressed, she relaxed and was more informative regarding our questions. It is a class, after all. and you would expect questions to be welcomed. We continued with the remainder of the class which ended an hour earlier than scheduled. Following the class our group discussed the experience and all agreed Oshi started off abrupt and a bit cold but then warmed up to us. The next morning my wife called Tamu to provide feedback. She inquired about the length of the class ending an hour shorter than what was quoted to us (90 minutes vs the quote of 2 1/2 hours). Tamu's response was that small groups take less time. We reminded her she was aware of our group size when she provided the class details. In regards to Oshi's demeanor, Tamu responded that she knows her well and she is a lovely person. Basically implying she didn't believe us. I would say, perception is reality. Tamu went on to say that following the class, she and Oshi discussed the event and our group. Oshi said we were fine but one man in the group was "snarky" with his question. While I understand supporting your staff, feedback regarding the customer experience is an important aspect to running a successful business. Clearly that isn't important to Tamu and shows a lack of knowledge about running a business. I am sure that there are other venues that offer the same service and likely offer a better customer service experience especially at this high price point. It appears that our business was not valued.

Some beautiful glasses drew my eye into the store and I decided to look around a bit even though I don't drink cocktails much. It's a very cute store thats clean and well organized. I began looking at the flavored alcohols and wall they have of syrups and bitters. A woman came out from the back and asked me if I was doing good and I asked her if she had any reccomendations for a cherry flavoring to add to a Jack & Coke as my husband loves them and tried cherry Jack and Coke at a restaurant and wants to recreate it at home. She began to thoroughly explain what she had and helped educate me on cocktails and what bitters are used for. She even let us sample some before we decided to purchase it. Thank you Paris for a wonderful experience inside your shop. Highly reccomend!
