The Market at 7th Street
The Market at 7th Street is a bustling urban food destination in the heart of Charlotte's Center City! The Market's mission is to celebrate the food culture of the Carolinas and promote local and regional farmers, food artisans and entrepreneurs. The Market provides high quality, fresh and affordable food, as well as local products, seven days a week. We are at the base of the 7th Street Station parking deck, between 6th and 7th streets and adjacent to the Lynx Blue Line's 7th Street stop. Parking is validated for the first 90 minutes with a purchase from a Market business.
I do like 7th street as it is a convenient place for lunch, but you will honestly pay a premium at some of the shops there. For the concept of having retail space on the ground floor of a parking deck next to the light rail is great sustainable land-use for activating the space... However, (and this can be said for a lot of places in Charlotte) the 5 pm closing times are a pain. Plus the fact they will randomly rent out the whole floor for a night randomly really throws me off from going there more. Still a great place to house some pretty cool shops.
Great little market. Had some delicious tea from the coffee place. Enjoyed looking around the shops. The pizza at Geno D's was amazing!! Being from NJ/NY area I'm always skeptical of pizza anywhere else, but this was top notch!
Great variety of food and drink options in a convenient location. Good for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or my favorite - brunch! Stop by It's Poppin for some fresh fruit water or Not Just Coffee for something with a little more kick. Just go!
Neat little market! It is small so don't expect it to be a way to just waste time. I did recommend going though.
Great market! If you ever go make sure to get some infused fruit water and fried chicken flavored popcorn.... Also try the pizza soooo delicious
