Shopping

As the largest city between Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Charlotte’s got style and plenty of shopping.

With a changing face sure to surprise most fashionistas, the shopping hub of Charlotte offers up some of the best designer labels this side of Manhattan.

Shop at high-end boutiques peppered with designer labels like Narciso Rodriguez and Michael Kors, or check out local shopping destinations that offer unique finds for fashion, home décor and more. Charlotte has a variety of shops devoted to antiques, jewelry, accessories, art, gifts and a range of specialty stores, along with some big-name chains like Dick’s Sporting Goods and IKEA. Some shopping areas such as Blakeney and Morrison have open-air, Main Street-style layouts.

Great places for retail therapy are all around the area, from the upscale SouthPark Mall to the bargain-hunting paradise of Concord Mills. Whether you want to splurge a lot or a little, you’ll find that shopping options here come in every shape and size.
