Amélie's French Bakery & Café Park Road

2018: Although I am happy for Amelies recent expansions, I do have to say that the quality of their food - particularly the pastries- has gone way, way down. The croissants have no flavor and do not have crispy crusts, and their cakes likewise just taste like sugary bread. Theres also a lack of consistency between the stores. :( Update from 3 years ago: The Park Rd. location pleasantly surprised today. The pastries (petit gateau and eclair) were moist, flavorful and robust. Delicious!
I have always loved this place which is why its hard for me to leave a bad review. This is the first time I ever went to the Park Road location. Inside was very clean and quaint. Ordered an iced coffee (pretty good) and also ordered the chicken salad croissant and the chicken broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was basically broccoli with hot water. No cheesy flavor, and only one piece of chicken in the whole soup. The chicken salad was not that great either. I have always enjoyed their coffee and baked goods, but I dont think Amelies has mastered prepared foods.
Really nice bakery. The pumpkin tart was amazing! The chocolates were also really nice. Cute spot to stop at if youre nearby! Not too busy and the employees were quite nice.
Came here after a couple awful experiences at our hotel's restaurant and it was a refreshing change. I got the ham + turkey + bacon sandwich and my wife had a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. We also had the most decadent salted caramel brownie latte. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great!
A great french-inspired restaurant and bakery! This is a new location. Park behind most of the other stores. It's downstairs. Small meals and lots of great deserts!
