We arrived around 6:30 PM and did not have a server come to our table until about 7:15 PM only after I asked someone. The only person who acknowledged us before then was the girl handling hookah. We were informed that the kitchen was behind and had paused taking orders until they could catch up on food already waiting to go out. Our server explained that every time she checked with management, she was given a different wait time. We were finally able to place our order after asking to speak with a manager. We ordered around 8:30 PM. Some food started coming out around 9:10 PM, and at that time we were also informed that they did not have any pasta left after three people at our table had already ordered pasta dishes. We were told they would have to make more pasta from scratch, which would take even longer. We then tried ordering chicken tenders instead, only to find out they were out of those as well. We were told our meals would be discounted because of the inconvenience. By 9:18 PM, everyone finally had their food. Food ratings: Salmon bites: 0/10 Red snapper: 8/10 Rice: 6/10 (very spicy) Fries: good when fresh and hot Wings: 8/10 Okra: 7/10 Lemon drop: 0/10 I do want to say our waitress, Nae, was amazing throughout the entire experience, and we understand that a lot of this was out of her control. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Between the wait times, lack of communication, unavailable menu items, and overall service issues, it honestly made for a horrible dining experience.

Okay sooooo I went on a Friday more like the 12th of June. The DJ was the shit! His switch over was perfect. No other DJ I heard in Charlotte was like that. We never got our table even though we was on a waitlist and the girl at the door said it was a hour wait but after a hour and a half we found a seat at the bar. There were multiple empty tables. This is the only reason I am giving a 4. The vibes was great. Ill definitely be back!! The wings and snapper meal were good! I got the chef choice on wings. Delicious!! Out bartender Yah yah, was great thanks bookie! My friend and I enjoyed!

we got there immediately when it opened up at 12 and was greeted as soon as we walked up! no wait time , and our server essence came with the energy and great service, she attended to me and my family and made sure we were good our entire time here! food came out in a timely manner and was seasoned and cooked to perfection

I was really disappointed with our experience at Teranga City Charlotte. The atmosphere seemed much more focused on being a lounge/club than an actual restaurant with quality food and service. I ordered fried shrimp and fries, and the shrimp tasted like they were cooked in old reused grease. My friend ordered the crab cakes and said they were very dry. On top of that, once our waitress dropped the food off, she never checked back on us or brought condiments. We couldnt even comfortably enjoy our meal because grown men smoking hookah kept bumping into our table and blowing smoke near us throughout the night. Overall, the experience was not worth the money and we left very disappointed.

Stopped by for a lively brunch with music and this spot didn't disappoint. The host and our server at the bar were sweet and helpful. They were packed and the food took a while to come out, but it was good and the vibe was right. I recommend making a reservation.
