Know Before You Go
We are thrilled to have you join us for an unforgettable day exploring Charlotte's rich history and vibrant communities. Get ready to immerse yourself in the city's unique blend of artistry, hospitality, and culture.
To ensure the best possible experience, we kindly remind you that only confirmed guests with a Charlotte-issued lanyard will be allowed entry. Lanyards will be provided at the NOMADNESS Fest registration upon arrival.
9:30 a.m.
Transportation boarding begins at Courtyard City Center, 237 S. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC. We'll depart promptly at 10:00 a.m., so be sure to arrive on time!
10:10 – 11:00 a.m.
Let the dynamic art spark your creativity at the Harvey B. Gantt Center. Capture stunning content and a fresh headshot by image activist Alvin C. Jacobs Jr. at MODA Digital Arts Studio. We'll depart for our next destination at 11:00 a.m.
11:15 – 1:10 p.m.
Celebrate cultural traditions with Latin dance, Sahri draping and Henna art at El Thrifty. Savor the flavors from over 20 food vendors at Optimist Hall, a beautifully reclaimed textile mill. We'll depart at 1 p.m.
1:10-2:30 p.m.
Tour Charlotte's Historic West End with stops at Johnson C. Smith University and Archive Coffee. Then take in the murals that make up Luminous Lane in Uptown Charlotte.
2:30 p.m.
Brief walk back to Courtyard City Center from Luminous Lane. Guests with mobility concerns will have the option to reboard tour bus. Tour concludes at 2:30 p.m.
Food & Beverage
Snacks and Bottled water will be available on the bus. Each attendee will receive a $25 gift card for lunch after the experience at El Thrifty.
Weather & Comfort
Charlotte can be unpredictable, so we recommend checking the forecast and dressing comfortably for the day. We suggest wearing comfortable walking shoes as some portions of the tour involve short walks between locations.
