Amazing customer service, they made our last minute booking fast and easy. The rooms were clean and the free shuttle to/from the airport was the cherry on top! I also accidentally left a bag in the lobby and Orlando went out of his way to drop it off at FedEx after his shift was over, so I very much appreciated him going above and beyond for me. A+ for customer service!! If in the area again will definitely stay here again :)
Was able to book a room for New Years. The location is perfect for experiencing Charlotte. The concierge David was polite and helpful. Room was clean with a modern feel. The chair had a worn arm rests paint splatter or something on the wall the bed was broken (went rolling out and bed seemed to come apart). Would recommend
We were booked into the hotel after a flight cancellation, and while I have no major complaints, I also don't have many overly positive comments either. The staff was friendly enough, but not overly helpful. Upon arriving at our room, we realized our keys had not been activated, and when we walked downstairs to get some assistance, the doors from the stairwell into the hallways were locked (odd that no hotel staff thought to mention this). When we told the front desk clerk about the keys, we were essentially asked if we were using the keys properly, rather than just replacing them. While the hotel is by no means "run down", the hallways and rooms looked old/worn. This was likely a very nice hotel in its prime, but has unfortunately seen better days.
I had a day full of bad luck. Delayed flights and missed connections, I was grateful enough to get a complimentary hotel at the Ramada. The front desk staff was nice and so was the courtyard, the room not so much. Just being in the room made me feel filthy. Is very old and run down around the hotel. It just didnt feel clean. I heard other guests outside talking about the fact that there has been reported bed bugs and roaches which they found on a review online. Because I had such a bad luck day, I didnt want to risk it. I checked out and wanted to get back on the shuttle to the airport to just spend the night there. The driver was sitting in his van and I asked him if hes going to the airport, first of all he questioned me why Im going back and pretty much yelled at me for making the decision to do so. He said I just brought you here and now you want me to take you back!? Why cant you stay in the room!? After questioning me a couple time about it , I finally told him that the room is not clean and I do not prefer to stay there. He just walked away into the van. On the way to the airport, he decided to stop to fill up gas. All the way there he said not one word to me. I dont understand why he made such a big deal out of it because as we got to the airport he picked up another 4-5 people to take back to the hotel. Besides all that, why does it concern him so much that I didnt want to stay. Overall poor experience, I didnt stay because I didnt feel clean and didnt want to run the risk of bed bugs (although I did not see any).
Staff at hotel is nice. Shuttle driver from airport was a risky driver. Floored the shuttle, hit Rev line at every chance he got. Rooms seemed clean. But place is showing its age. Bathroom door bottom wood was chipping, could open bathroom door all the way, you could see light all around room door, light switches only work 3 out of 5 times.. Stains on carpets and they felt dirty, didn't wanna walk barefoot on it. Air didn't work well. Vending machines weren't stocked.
