The evening manager that was on duty when we arrived around 530pm the day before Thanksgiving, she was excellent! She made us feel more than welcome. The facility is nice and clean, right next to the Blue Line Lite Rail System connected directly to the city center. My next visit to the area I am definitely staying here again!

For as much as they charge for this place, you'd think the amenities and cleanliness would be on point. The room was "clean" as in.... Sanitized. Maybe. That's what they say. Every surface had a layer of dust. A thick layer. Like the room had been sittong empty for a couple of weeks. If surfaces were sanitized, where did the dust (and a few eyelashes) come from? Plus, we also got a bonus handprint on the large window overlooking the bus stop in front of the Urgent Care. Sweet deal! Understandably, places are understaffed because of covid, but it should really not be THAT hard to feed yourself in a hotel that offers "complimentary breakfast" and houses a bar, restaurant, and Starbucks (only open 6am-10am). The restaurant is running on one or two servers so it was a very long wait to get any kind of food. Once we finally did get served for dinner, after walking over and asking if anyone had been told we were seated for dinner, the server was fantastic and the food was excellent. The "complimentary breakfast" doesn't seem to actually exist, as we were informed the Lounge (where it is served) was closed. I understand the staffing issues, but it seems a place like this might consider offering a way for guests to have access to some sort of sustenance that they were expecting to be included in the price. Muffin basket, anyone? All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, but I would not stay here again.

Just stayed 2 nights with 3 other couples on a golf trip to Charlotte. The hotel is on the UNC Charlotte campus, is new and very clean, and within walking distance to many eateries just across the street. It is also next to a train stop to be able to get downtown easily. Keith and his staff at the front desk are the best hotel staff anywhere going above and beyond to help make our stay so much fun! They were cheerful and always ready with restaurant recommendations, directions, or anything else we needed! We valet parked our cars, and Danny was awesome! The morning we left he had all of our cars out front before we even got downstairs because he knew we had to leave early! He was so busy running back and forth at the valet, but was always polite and had a smile for us! With employees like these taking care of our every need, why stay anywhere else??

As a brand new hotel, we were excited to stay here. Unfortunately due to Covid, rooms are only cleaned if you stay longer than 6 days. I understand there are staffing shortages, but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Also, they were out of hand soap which was on back order. I called the front desk and was told they could provide shower gel. Seriously??!! For this price point, buy some hand soap at Walmart and provide that to guests at check-in! We also requested an extra blanket and were told they could only provide extra sheets. What?!! Is this another supply issue? We are Titanium members and have stayed at a lot of Marriott properties. This has really been one of our worst experiences. Its disappointing to think that we would have had a better service at the Holiday Inn.

The hotel and banquet staff were absolutely amazing during the entire event we hosted. They were always attentive to our needs and made sure everything went smoothly.
