I love this little paradise in the downtown area of Charlotte. The literary theme with it's pages of books scattered around the scenery is such a great idea for stimulating the imaginations of the young and lends a nice quality to the visit for adults too. A beautiful slice of nature in amongst the tall buildings I hope they add more of the green spaces to the city to help break up the concrete and steel.
Park...lined with restaurants and offices...it's pretty. Spaces to sit. It was a pretty quiet weekend when I was there. Decorated with quirky art and kitsch poetry written on sculptures. Breaks up the monotony of downtown - I wouldn't make a special trip to see it or anything.
Nice park in CLT Uptown. Great during the summer with the kids fish fountains and is a generally great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors on a lunch break
It's listed as a tourist destination. Ufff... It's nothing but a mini garden in downtown. It's lined up with a number of restaurants and eateries. Nothing fancy about this little park. The fish structure was not functioning . The seats were pretty dirty . However, if you are in downtown and want to just sit and relax, then you might want to check this place out. The good thing is that this park is located in the vincinity of a lot of the attractions in downtown making it easily accessible .
Nice park but the city should referb the literary art pieces. They are a plus but in need of repair. Don't take them out though, many go to this park wanting to experience these displays.
