As fans, nominees, artists and families gather to celebrate the best in gospel music and enjoy Charlotte’s warm hospitality and vibrant culture, please be advised of the following helpful tips to make your experience as smooth as possible.
Event Details
- Stellar Awards Taping: Saturday, August 15 at 4:30 p.m.
- Doors Open: 3:30 p.m.
- Location: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, N.C.
- Bag Policy for Entry: Spectrum Center enforces a strict bag policy limiting permitted items to small clutches, wristlets, crossbodies and wallets that do not exceed 5 inches x 7 inches x 1.5 inches. Bags do not need to be clear, but anything larger is prohibited, and there are no on-site bag check facilities.
Traffic Advisory

Please be advised that there will be street closures due to the Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade between Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16.
While we do not anticipate these closures affecting the Stellar Awards taping at Spectrum Center, we want to ensure you are informed about the events taking place that weekend so you can plan and navigate accordingly. We have provided a list of street closures along with a map available to view and download for your convenience.
August 14-16 Street Closures:
There will be street closures around the Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade, which takes place at First Ward Park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Street Closure Location:
- N. Brevard Street between 6th Street and 9th Street.
- 7th Street between Light Rail and E. Caldwell Street
- 8th Street between Light Rail and E. Caldwell Street
Dates:
- Closures begin: 8/14/26 (9:30 a.m.)
- Streets reopen: 8/17/26 (1 a.m.)
Charlotte Pride Parade: August 16, 2026
The parade begins at 1 p.m. on N. Tryon Street at 9th Street.
- 8 a.m.: Cross streets between 9th Street and 13th Street on N. Tryon Street, as well as N. Tryon Street between those blocks, will close.
- 8 a.m.-12 p.m.: Cross streets from 9th Street to 4th Street will close.
- Shortly before 1 p.m.: N. Tryon Street from 9th Street to 4th Street will close.
Event organizers expect 150 units in the parade and more than 250,000 spectators.
