Copain is one of the best coffee shops and bakeries in Charlotte. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfect for meeting friends, working remotely, or simply enjoying a quiet morning. The coffee is consistently excellent, and the pastries are fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The almond croissant was outstandinglight, buttery, and perfectly balanced. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. You can tell that quality and attention to detail are priorities here. If youre looking for exceptional coffee, authentic French-style pastries, and a welcoming environment, Copain is absolutely worth a visit. I will definitely be coming back.

Review based on breakfast visit, we started with the spinach and feta quiche, which was delicious except that it was not completely reheated the center was refrigerator cold. Same with the French toast pastry, crunchy outside cold center. My husband ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich (theyre premade and just warmed to order); instead got a dry biscuit sandwich. We also got a few pastries to try, the chocolate flan croissant was delightful. The chicken custard and flaky croissant crust was my favorite. The regular croissant and chocolate one was dry/and crusty, more like day old croissant, still buttery. The other pastries werent great n nothing I would reorder nothing felt fresh which is odd because the place was super busy I would assume everything would be fresh due to the high volume. Coffee was also mid. Overall I would return if I am meeting up with people that would want to go, but personally will not take it upon myself to return. There are better french bakeries on Ballantyne. Didnt give it a two because the things that were good were great and the cold centers dishes maybe due to recent opening and high volumes. Ample seating, many vegetarian options (except for the premade sandwiches). Kid friendly paid street and parking lot parking.

We visited this coffee shop recently and it was very busy, which is understandable since its a new place. We only tried the coffee and unfortunately it wasnt our favorite it tasted very sweet and more like a syrupy drink than real coffee. We didnt try the desserts, but they looked nice. The place has a lot of potential, so hopefully the coffee will improve over time.

The service was excellent Artyom was attentive, polite, and created a very comfortable atmosphere throughout the evening. Everything was served on time, he helped us with menu choices, and special thanks for assisting with the parking situation as well. We were left with only positive impressions outstanding service!

We just had dinner here for Valentines Day. First of all the service was amazing. And then the food - My goodness. I think the steak tar tar and frites are tied for my favorite. I kept literally gasping because they were so good. We also had the salmon & scallops. Drool. I will be dreaming of this until the next time! Which means we will absolutely be back and telling everyone that we see that we recommend.
