Open kitchen concept restaurant in the Charlotte Marriott City Center. Stoke was easy to find just off the common area of the Charlotte Marriott City Center. The dcor was sleek modern with a interesting central, open kitchen concept and plenty of seating variety. The reception and the service were friendly and efficient although it seemed like the service staff was a bit overloaded on our visit. The menu is not extensive and is both familiar and with of creativity with a southern flair. All the ingredients tasted extremely fresh and seemed to be high quality. The cheese board was a nice selection. The salad was fresh and nicely presented. The burger was flavorful with fresh trimmings and good bread. The deviled eggs were very tasty. We did not sit at the bar and have cocktails on this visit, but I did notice they had an interesting cocktail menu and a small, interesting bar off the main dining room and also connected to the common area. The prices were right on target. Overall, Id rate Stoke as a good value for great location, nice facility, friendly service, good food, and good prices. A good choice if youre staying at the Charlotte Marriott City Center.
Attentive service. Ordered the biscuit chicken sandwich. Amazing. The cheese was a gooey maple fluff. Genius. Unfortunately was not able to finish it due to the large portion. Should of stayed away from those fabulous crispy fries.
Visited last night with my husband for the 3rd time & they did not disappoint! We waited about 20 minutes by choice for our favorite waiter. He is an absolute joy! Amazing service from him every time we've been there! We've had a variety of menu items throughout our past visits and they are all wonderful. My husband had the steak last night and it was super tender and delicious. This has become our favorite go to place and we will definitely be back! If you've never been you are definitely missing out!!
Stoke is located in the Marriott hotel. The restaurant had a nice clean modern look. We were there on a Saturday for lunch, but were seated right away. The server was very nice, but could have been slight more attentive. The food was delicious, and was prepared fairly quickly. The one pound donut is very expensive, but wow is it delicious.
Not your average hotel restaurant! Great place to go for just cocktails or for food as well. Drinks are a little more on the expensive side vs. other bars in the area, but I think they make up for it in quality. We went on a slower Wednesday night and had a great experience with the wait staff. Highly recommend asking for the table attached to the kitchen, always cool to watch and talk with the chefs. Food was quite delicious. For recommendations the Pretzel Brioche is a must. Only drawback was a limited wine by the glass menu.
